Terms of Service
Last updated: August 5, 2026
By using dontdropbook.com or the DontDropBook service, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
What this service is
DontDropBook is an informational reminder tool. It tracks re-sign windows for IBEW out-of-work books and sends you notifications about them. It is not a dispatch system, a union service, or an official record of anything.
The accuracy disclaimer — read this one
DontDropBook is a reminder, not an authority. Your local hall is the only authority on your book status, your re-sign window, and the method that hall accepts.
We work hard to keep our data correct, we stamp every local with a last-verified date, and we fix errors the same day we can verify them. We still cannot guarantee the information is complete or current. Halls change procedures without notice. Notifications fail to deliver. Phones lose service in the places our users work.
You remain responsible for your own re-signs. Do not treat a missing notification as confirmation that no action is due, and confirm anything that matters directly with your hall.
No affiliation with the IBEW
DontDropBook is an independent project, not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or connected to the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers or any of its local unions. References to the IBEW and to specific locals are nominative and informational — they identify the organizations our users deal with. No endorsement is claimed or implied.
Your account
You are responsible for the accuracy of what you enter and for keeping your login details to yourself. Give us a working email address; reminders sent to an address you do not read are of no use to either of us.
Do not use the service to break the law, to scrape or resell our data in bulk, to interfere with the service's operation, or to submit information you know to be false. We may suspend or close accounts that do.
Early access
The service is currently in early access and free. During this period it may be unavailable, incomplete, or changed without notice, and features may be added or removed. We are not promising uptime. Once there is a paid tier, tracking a single local will remain free, and we will give notice before any billing begins.
Liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, DontDropBook is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, and we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages — including lost work, lost wages, or lost position on any list — arising from your use of or inability to use the service.
This is standard language, and we would rather say plainly what sits behind it: we cannot be financially responsible for your position on a book, because we do not control it and cannot verify it. What we can do is be accurate and fix mistakes fast, which is what we have committed to elsewhere on this site.
Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
Our content
The text, design, and data compilations on this site are ours.
We actively want search engines and AI answer engines to read, index, quote, and cite this site — that is what the Content Signals in our robots.txt declare. Quote us, link us, cite us in an answer. What we do not permit is republishing this site's content wholesale as your own, or scraping the re-sign dataset in bulk to build a competing product.
Third-party links
We link to union halls, directories, and other outside sites. We do not control them and are not responsible for their content or their accuracy.
Changes and termination
We may update these terms; the date at the top reflects the current version, and material changes will be announced by email. You may stop using the service at any time, and you can have your data deleted by emailing us.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the state in which the project operates, without regard to conflict-of-law provisions.
