DontDropBook

Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 5, 2026

The short version

We collect your email address so we can tell you when the tool is ready and, later, send you re-sign reminders. We do not sell it, rent it, trade it, or hand it to advertisers. Ask us to delete it and we will. That is the whole arrangement.

The rest of this page is the same thing said carefully.

What we collect

Your email address, when you submit it through the early-access form on this site. We store it alongside the date and time you submitted it.

Book tracking information, once the product is live and you enter it: the locals you are signed with, the dates you signed, and the re-sign method each hall requires. We do not ask for your book number, your position on a list, your union membership number, or your Social Security number, and you should not send them to us.

Standard server logs, which our hosting provider generates automatically. These include IP address, browser type, and pages requested, and exist for security and abuse prevention.

What we do not collect

We do not collect your name unless you volunteer it in an email. We do not use advertising trackers, we do not run cross-site tracking pixels, and we do not build a profile of you for anyone else's benefit. We do not sell data. There is no scenario in which we sell data — that is not the business.

Why we collect it

Your email address exists in our system for one reason: to send you messages about DontDropBook, primarily re-sign reminders. Your book tracking information exists so that those reminders can be correct. We have no secondary use for either.

Where it is stored

This site and its database run on Cloudflare infrastructure, primarily in the United States. If you are outside the US, your information will be processed in the US.

Analytics

At the time of writing, this site runs no analytics. If we add analytics, we will use a cookieless, privacy-respecting tool that does not track you across other websites, and we will update this policy and our cookie policy before turning it on.

Who we share it with

Nobody, except the service providers that make the site run — currently Cloudflare for hosting and database, and an email delivery provider once reminders are live. They process data on our instructions and cannot use it for their own purposes.

The one exception is legal compulsion: a valid court order or equivalent legal process. If that ever happens and we are permitted to tell you, we will.

Your choices

You can ask us to show you what we hold about you, correct it, or delete it entirely. Email hello@dontdropbook.com and we will action it within 30 days, usually much sooner. You do not need to give a reason.

Every email we send will carry an unsubscribe link. Unsubscribing from marketing does not delete your account; ask for deletion explicitly if that is what you want.

If you are in the EU, UK, or California, you have specific statutory rights over your data. We honor those rights for everyone regardless of where they live, because operating two standards would be more work than doing it properly once.

Children

This service is for working adults in the electrical trade. It is not directed at anyone under 16, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16.

Changes

If we change this policy in a way that materially affects you, we will email you before it takes effect. The date at the top of this page always reflects the current version.
